K9 Web Protection has features to block porn sites, and other indecent sites from key words, etc., but it goes beyond that. This free home use program has options to add or subtract sites to block and also has a time monitoring system to only be able to access the net between a range of time. Also it logs sites where the system visited and groups them in categories based on the type of site. This is all behind a password setup at installation and can't be removed without this password. This doesn't prevent the need for parent responsibility, but is a great tool to help in the task.
